Incorporating Mindfulness Into Your Hartley Routine

As we venture into 2023, there is a philosophy to do so mindfully to achieve the goals we often set as resolutions. Creating a resolution is a great way to place a goal on some aspect of your life. However, we know how easy it is to forget the pathways to success and resort to old patterns. To assist the residents of The Hartley, here are some tips and tricks to kick off 2023 through acts of mindfulness.

When it comes to mindfulness and meditation, the usual advice is to start your day earlier, but that’s not the most appealing advice. This year, incorporate mindfulness activities into your daily routine. If you start your day off on our rooftop lounge, clubhouse, fitness center, or walking trail start thinking about your breathing or methods of achieving your goals while working out or having a relaxing cup of joe. Continuing this practice will feel better in the long run, rather than hitting snooze on your alarm time and time again. 

We are often harder on ourselves than we are on those around us, especially our loved ones. When thinking back on your own behaviors, imagine someone meaningful taking similar actions. The grace you would extend to them, do the same for yourself. Additionally, continue to build your relationships. Spend time relaxing at the courtyards, or playing in the club and game room. Once you are having fun, it’s an easy routine to get into.
